OCZ Technology Group, Inc. (OCZ) Signs Microland Electronics as Solid-State Drive Customer

OCZ Technology Group, www.ocztechnology.com, the customer-focused developer of power supplies and memory modules, reported today that leading value-added tech distributor, Microland Electronics Corporation, has been signed as a new customer.

The vastly improved speed, power efficiency and durability of SSDs compared to traditional magnetic disk drives must be seen to be believed, and the technology is a perfect fit for enterprise data management solutions.

This excellent marriage will benefit Microland tremendously as OCZ enterprise SSDs (PCI-Express and SATA) are ideally suited for Microland’s unique clientele of value-added resellers, OEMs (original equipment manufacturers), and system integrators.

The Silicon Valley-based Microland covers the gamut from high-end system builds and servers to larger and more complex storage configurations, and serves solutions providers focused on bandwidth management, mission critical, managing security events and WAN optimization all across North America.

Senior VP of Worldwide Sales at OCZ, Richard Singh, explained how this deal would put the complete range of the Company’s SSDs, which offer superior reliability, cost of ownership and performance, into the multiple channels Microland addresses, thus significantly increasing brand recognition in IT infrastructures and similar workstation environments as well.

CEO of Microland, Abraham Chen, hailed OCZ’s enterprise SSDs, and the Company’s ability to tailor products to very unique customer requirements, as features which make OCZ an ideal partner for Microland, which is focused on providing the most robust key platform technologies.
