NCI, Inc. (NCIT) Awarded Contract with USTRANSCOM; Joint Venture on Test Engineering and Analysis Support Services Subcontract

NCI, Inc. (NCIT), with headquarters in Reston, Virginia, provides information technology and professional engineering services and solutions to the U.S. federal government agencies. NCI’s services include network engineering; information assurance, systems engineering and integration, enterprise systems management, engineering and logistics, medical transformation/health IT, and distance learning and training. An ISO 9001:2000 certified company, NCI has approximately 2,000 employees and more than 75 locations.

The company was selected in March by USTRANSCOM as the successful bidder on the $7.6M Classified Information Systems Support (CISS) contract. Under the CISS contract, NCI will consolidate services, optimize USTRANSCOM resources, reduce the cost of operations, and facilitate the standardization of services in classified and non-classified environments. The contract has a period of performance beginning April 1, 2008 and extends through May 31, 2011.

In that same month, the company became part of the ATAMIR-WSMR joint venture winning team on the U.S. Army Test Engineering and Analysis Services (TEAS) contract. The TEAS contract is the successor contract to the White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) program on which NCI had been the prime contractor, winning the original WSMR contract as a small business in 1997. The company was not eligible to compete as a prime on this new contract. The subcontract has a base year and four option years, with an estimate value to NCI of approximately $31M, if all options are exercised.
