Zhone Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: ZHNE) engages in multi-service access network solutions for more than 700 network operators. The company’s product and service portfolio consists of MSAP, FTTx and EFM technologies for residential and business broadband, VoIP and Hi-Definition IPTV.
Today the company announced the addition of seasoned industry veteran Bruce Roe. With more than 20 years of experience in building and guiding teams in the development of market-leading products, Roe will join the company’s global engineering force.

Roe previously held the position of vice president of research and development for Wave 7 Optics, guiding the company’s R&D of its fiber to the premises (FTTP) and standard-based GPON products; he has served in several executive roles with Nortel Networks such as vice president and general manager of the company’s Open IP Portfolio, securing strategic alliances with Motorola, IBM, Intel and others; and was vice president of technology, software networking and engineering.
