Wave Systems, the Trusted Computing Company, announced its partnership with Infinigate Deutschland GmbH in Germany, Austria, and UK, expanding the company’s distribution channel.
Based on seven years of successful cooperation between Infinigate UK (formerly Vigil Software), the strategic partnership further expands Wave’s reach into both the German and Austrian markets. Infinigate, with Wave’s endpoint security portfolio, is now authorized to offer its customers Wave’s innovative solutions for data protection and compliance, secure mobility and authentication, cloud security, and advanced malware protection.
In 2013, Verizon, through its Data Breach report, stated 76% of network intrusions exploited weak or stolen credentials. Through the use of Wave technology – which manages the embedded security features in devices – users are no longer reliant on password security, allowing the corporate network to manage device security. This simultaneously allows a business to prove the device was encrypted if lost or stolen — a pre-requisite of the EU Data Protection Directive.
Andreas Bechtold, Managing Director, Infinigate Deutschland GmbH stated: “In an increasingly mobile working environment, securing laptops, tablets and smartphones will be important in this segment. Wave enables devices with embedded security components to be managed centrally. This results in the completion of our portfolio, which offers very effective solutions in the area of endpoint management as well as security.”
Joseph Souren, VP and GM EMEA, Wave Systems added: “We believe that there are important market opportunities for endpoint security, especially in the market for embedded security management of hardware elements such as the Trusted Platform Module and Self-Encrypting Drives. The distribution partnership with Infinigate is an important step for Wave towards further developing sales channels in the European market. Infinigate provides its partners comprehensive consultation, in selecting and implementing the right solutions.”
