Ultimate Software Group Inc. (ULTI) Receives the Ultimate Compliment

Founded in 1990, Ultimate Software Group Inc. is a provider of end-to-end strategic human resources, payroll, and talent management solutions. The solutions they provide for their customers are highly flexible and easy-to-use, and suited for customers who need integrated human resources software, payroll software, or a convenient payroll service model. Ultimate’s award-winning UltiPro suite provides web-based human resources and payroll solutions to help companies operate more efficiently.

With headquarters in Weston, Florida, Ultimate Software Group Inc. trades on the NASDAQ. The company markets their UltiPro Products as on-demand services through their software as a service offering, intersourcing, and as licensed software. Ultimate Software’s intersourcing HR/payroll software-as-a-service has the ease of outsourcing while being very functional within an enterprise. It provides completely integrated payroll, human resources, and benefits functionality, standard reports and workforce analytics, plus Web-based self-service capabilities for managers and employees. All of this is through a web browser. Enterprises do not have to pay an upfront license fee nor do they have to maintain payroll and HR software.

Ultimate’s 2007 revenue was $114.8 million. They have 800 employees who deliver their solutions to approximately 1,600 customers. This year saw Ultimate Software as the first HR/payroll software-as-a-service provider audited and awarded the ISO/IEC 27001:2005 Certification for security management. Their development team received the #1 “Best Product Development Team” in the U.S. by the American Business Awards. In 2007, The American Business Awards gave Ultimate the first place award for their management of intersourcing. The company’s customer service team won two first-place awards in nationwide competitions for service excellence in 2006. In June of this year, Ultimate Software was ranked the #1 best medium-sized company to work for in America by the Great Place to Work Institute.

This month, Ultimate Software announced that the City of Ann Arbor is achieving strategic HR gains, experiencing fiscal savings, and meeting its environmental goals since going “live” on core UltiPro, UltiPro Recruitment, and UltiPro Time and Attendance delivered through Intersourcing . The City is also deploying UltiPro Benefits Open Enrollment now, and UltiPro Performance Management and UltiPro Salary Planning and Budgeting later in 2008. With more enterprises seeing the benefit of Ultimate’s UltiPro products through intersourcing, the company is poised for future growth. They are receiving the ultimate compliment for their efforts through the varied awards they are receiving. They hope to reward their shareholders continually with profit recognition for years to come.
