Saving Subscribers More than $150 Million Each Year, Charter Communications, Inc. (CHTR) Serves its One-Millionth Customer

Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHTR) announced today it has signed up more than one million Charter Telephone customers, providing residential telephone service for what it calls “the opportunity for significant savings.” The one-millionth customer has actually been a cable customer for more than 20 years, but recently upgraded to Charter’s triple-play bundle of services.

“Our family has had a great experience with Charter Cable over the years, so it was an easy decision to add Charter phone and high-speed Internet. It’s also really convenient to have only one bill for all three services, and we save a lot of money with the bundle,” the customer said, when informed that he was the record-breaking customer.

According to the press release, Charter customers save about $150 million per year, as compared to other traditional phone companies. Mike Lovett, executive vice president and COO for Charter, said the company is a reliable telephone service provider, offering equal bundle services as well.

“More than a million customers rely on Charter phone, and the vast majority of them bundle it with Charter Digital Cable and Charter High-Speed Internet because it’s simple, convenient, and it’s a great value,” Lovett stated in the press release.

Charter is the third-largest publicly traded cable operator in the United States, offering a full range of broadband services, including video entertainment programming, high-speed Internet access and residential and business telephone service.
