RADA Electronic Industries Ltd., an Israel-based defense electronics contractor, today announced that during the second quarter of 2010 it has received follow-on production and maintenance orders totaling more than $3.1 million.
The company develops, produces and markets Data Recording and Management Systems such as digital video and data recorders, ground debriefing stations, head-up display cameras and more for air and land applications, as well as avionics solutions and other relative technology.
“We are seeing a steady increase in the company’s backlog and sales. We believe this growth is indicative of the company’s improved business performance as well as customer confidence that we can provide them with and implement the most advanced products,” Zvi Alon, CEO of RADA stated in the press release.
The company said the announced second-quarter orders come mainly from leading U.S. aerospace companies, and include delivery and maintenance of video and data recorders, inertial navigation systems, and various avionics products to military aircrafts.
RADA expects the majority of the deliveries to be delivered by the end of 2011.
The company also recently reported record orders for the first half of 2010, reflecting a 17-percent increase to $16.7 million as compared to orders of $14.3 million in the first half of 2009.
