Javo Beverage Company Inc. (JAVO) is Concentrating on Growth

Javo Beverage Company is a supplier of dispensed coffee and tea drink mixes, and bulk flavor systems. They provide beverages and ingredients for food service operators and manufacturers of retail food products. Headquartered in Vista, California, Javo trades on the OTCBB. They have a current market capitalization of $106.13M.

Javo’s proprietary extraction technology and research into coffee and teas allows them to offer foodservice operators hot coffees, and cold specialty coffee and tea beverages, from dispenser-based systems. Their product line is primarily liquid concentrates and flavors based on their extraction technology. They also develop and supply customized ingredients for food and beverage processors for their packaged foods and ready-to-drink beverages. Javo provides their products, equipment service, and distribution operations to national and international foodservice operations, specialty coffee retailers, restaurant chains, and food manufacturers.

Javo offers on-demand hot brewed coffee and tea systems. Their systems do not use excessive heat, which can destroy flavors. The systems produce fresh brewed beverages that are never pre-frozen or contain preservatives. They are easy-to-use systems, which eliminate the need for thawing, portioning, brewing, holding, cleaning, and storage.

The company’s Flavors and Ingredients division makes freshly brewed coffee and tea concentrates for packaged products producers. They offer customized formulations as suits a company’s needs. They can offer these in all-natural, organic, fair trade, and kosher concentrates. Javo also has iced coffees and teas that a company can add to their product line.

The company had promising financial results for the first quarter of 2008. Highlights of the quarter ended March 31, 2008 included a revenue increase of 41 percent to $3.9 million from $2.7 million in the first quarter of 2007. The company’s gross profit for the quarter was approximately $1.5 million, which was up 34 percent from the same quarter last year. Javo sent out a record 2,096 new dispensers during the quarter. This gives them an installed customer base of 6,401. This is up 48 percent from the prior quarter and 241 percent from a year ago. Javo also added 27 new food service distribution centers. They hope to more than double their distributor network this year.

Javo Beverage Company is awake to the possibilities that coffee and tea offer their company. Their creative processes are producing coffee and tea products that help businesses provide quality, flavorful beverages, and food items to their customers in a profitable way. Javo hopes to give a boost to their bottom line and their shareholders growth through their innovations with coffee and tea.
