iBasis Inc. (IBAS) is Building a Base for Future Growth

iBasis, through their patent-pending Assured Quality Routing (AQR) and PathEngine quality management technologies, selects the best available route for calls. They use state-of-the-art technology from Cisco Systems and patent-pending monitoring and route-quality management technology. The company operates their iBasis Network Operations Centers in: Burlington, Massachusetts; Hilversum, Holland; and Hong Kong, and these provide service to customers worldwide. The company’s network goes across over 100 countries, with interconnections to more than 400 carrier customers.

iBasis offers International Voice over IP. This service provides wholesale international voice and fax service to wire line and wireless telecommunications carriers and other communications service providers. They offer their DirectVoIP® and DirectVoIP® Broadband, which enables rapid direct IP interconnection with a wide variety of gateways, gatekeepers, session controllers, and SIP proxies.

The company also offers their Pingo® web-based prepaid international calling card service. This is direct-to-consumer via a secure and user-friendly web interface. Pingo® is a rechargeable prepaid long distance service at www.pingo.com. iBasis also offers PremiumCertified® International Routing. This features certified retail quality on routes to over 500 international destinations. This is a retail-quality wholesale service for local carriers, mobile operators, and emerging voice over broadband providers.
