Equity Media Holdings Corporation (EMDA) Subsidiary Adds Two More Media General Affiliates

Retro Television Network, nationally owned and distributed by Equity Media Holdings Corporation (EMDA) announced that the company has entered into agreements with Media General to bring RTN programming to Augusta, GA and Jackson, MS. The new affiliates will launch early next year on a digital stream of WJBF, the ABC affiliate in Augusta, and WJTV, the CBS affiliate in Jackson.

Steve Gleason, Vice President for Media General, stated, “We are thrilled to add two more Media General stations to be a part of RTN and provide additional programming for our viewers.”

Mark Dvornik, Executive VP of RTN, added, “Viewers in Jackson and Augusta, as part of RTN’s ‘Primetime All the Time’ lineup, will enjoy watching James Garner in Rockford Files, Bob Crane in Hogan’s Heroes, Raymond Burr in Ironside, Robert Young in Marcus Welby, M.D. and Michael Douglas in Streets of San Francisco, as well as many more hit shows.”

Bill Stewart, Vice President and General Manager of WJBF, closed, “All of us at WJBF are proud to announce our partnership with RTN for our digital channel. Through our research, we feel that RTN offers our viewers quality television programming along with our local programming, news and weather. We are all very excited to have the opportunity to offer this kind of product to our viewers.”
