Comstock Mining Inc. (LODE) Reports Successful Appraisal of Lucerne Gold Prospect

Comstock Mining Inc. reported the successful drilling results of the company’s recent mineral exploration and development program in Nevada. The company is attempting to develop gold resources on its properties there.

Comstock Mining Inc. is assessing the mineral potential of the Lucerne area, located at the Comstock Mine Project. The company drilled 51 reverse circulation holes comprising a total combined depth of approximately 29,000 feet.

Comstock Mining Inc. said that 42 out of 51 reverse circulation holes contained “significant mineralized intervals” of a least twenty feet. An additional sixteen reverse circulation holes had intervals of at least one hundred feet.

The management of Comstock Mining Inc. attributed the results to the careful planning conducted by the company’s geological team. Corrado DeGasperis, the CEO of Comstock Mining Inc., said, “The results are a tribute to the thorough planning and execution of our geological team.”

The exploration and development program conducted by Comstock Mining Inc. is focusing on select areas of the Lucerne project. These include the Lucerne-Woodville, Hartford, Justice-Keystone, and the East Side areas.

Comstock Mining Inc. has extensive properties in the Comstock Lode District, and has adopted a strategic plan to find probable and proven reserves of 3.25 million ounces of gold by 2011, and produce at a rate of 20,000 ounces per year.
