ZOLL Medical Corp. (ZOLL) is a manufacturer of resuscitation devices and related software solutions. ZOLL provides a comprehensive set of technologies, including Real CPR Help® and See Thru CPR™, that help clinicians, EMS professionals, and lay rescuers resuscitate sudden cardiac arrest or trauma victims.

The company was recently selected as a preferred vendor by Rural/Metro Corporation, a provider of ambulance and private fire protection services, for its patient data management solution needs. Purchases of the ZOLL RescueNet ePCR Suite, a complete electronic patient care reporting solution, will be made as each location is deployed. If Rural/Metro proceeds with orders that fully deploy the RescueNet EPCR Suite, the orders would constitute the largest to date for the company’s software subsidiary, ZOLL Data Systems, Inc. in Broomfield, Colorado.

In addition, Rural/Metro has chosen ZOLL Advanced Life Support defibrillators as primary devices for its ongoing defibrillator renewal program. ZOLL has supplied Rural/Metro with 55 E Series and two M Series CCTs during ZOLL’s quarter ended March 30, 2008, with the expectation that additional units will be supplied over the next three to five years. Depending on quantities ordered, this separate arrangement could generate an estimated $8.0M in additional revenue during that time.
