Versar, Inc. (VSR) Receives $2.5 Million Extension to Continue Construction Management and Quality Assurance Work in Afghanistan

Versar announced it has received a $2.5 million subcontract extension from HDR, Inc. – a worldwide architecture, engineering, consulting, and construction firm – to continue construction management and quality assurance operations in Afghanistan. Bringing Versar’s HDR subcontract total to just under $31 million, the extension will allow the company to continue providing engineering support, construction management, and quality assurance in Afghanistan – which it has been doing since 2006 in that country – through May 2013.

This important subcontract with HDR – one of Versar’s various ongoing contracts in that region – will enable Versar to continue supporting the Department of Defense through its construction management and quality assurance capabilities toward Afghanistan reconstruction efforts.

The team of HDR and Versar will continue providing high-quality services and capacity development, and the subcontract extension between the two entities is evidence of the government’s confidence in the services they provide.
