Under Armour, Inc. (UA) Announces 2008 All-American Baseball Game to Play at Wrigley Field

Under Armour, Inc. (UA) is a developer, marketer, and distributor of branded performance apparel, footwear and accessories. The company’s headquarters are in Baltimore, Maryland, with European headquarters in Amsterdam (the Netherlands) and additional offices in Denver, Colorado; Hong Kong and Guangzhou, China; and Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Under Armour products are sold worldwide and worn by athletes of all ages and skill levels.

Last week the company announced that the 2008 Under Armour All-American Baseball Game will be played at the historic Wrigley Field on Sunday, August 17. This marks the first year that the event – previously known as the Cape Cod High School Baseball Classic – will have Under Armour serving as the game’s title sponsor. The game will air live nationally on ESPNU at 1:20 p.m. Central Daylight Time.

The game, powered by Baseball Factory, will showcase thirty-six of the nation’s best rising juniors and seniors, competing in a Baseball Factory versus Team One Baseball match-up. The Baseball Factory provides baseball players nationwide with the very best instruction, tournament competition, and college planning and guidance. The game provides the players the opportunity to perform in front of numerous scouting directors and player personnel decision maker from Major League Baseball. Since the event’s inception in 2005, 39 participants have been selected in the Major League Baseball draft.
