Trans Energy, Inc. (TENG) Reports Marcellus Shale Well Completion

Trans Energy, Inc. reported the results of a recent well completion on the company’s acreage in the Marcellus Shale in West Virginia.

Trans Energy, Inc. said that the Whipkey #2H well produced an average of 4.45 million cubic feet equivalent per day of natural gas during the first thirty days of production. The well was drilled from the same drilling pad as the Whipkey #1H well.

The Whipkey #2H well is located in Marshall County, West Virginia. The well was completed with a 3,000 foot horizontal lateral and a 12 stage hydraulic fracturing operation.

The management of Trans Energy, Inc. expressed confidence in the company’s development plan in the Marcellus Shale. John G. Corp, the President of Trans Energy, Inc., said, “We continue to move forward with our plan to rapidly develop our acreage position in the Marcellus shale along with our experienced partner.”

Trans Energy, Inc. reported that the company has received drilling permits for three additional wells in the Marcellus Shale. The company has begun planning the drilling of the Groves #1H, Keaton #1H and Stout #2H wells.

Trans Energy, Inc. currently has 30,000 net acres under lease in West Virginia that is prospective for the Marcellus Shale.
