Sky Power Solutions Corp (SPOW) Covered By Murphy Analytics

Murphy Analytics, an investment research firm providing coverage on microcap and smallcap stocks, has initiated coverage of Sky Power Solutions, Inc., a development stage alternative energy company based in North Carolina. The Initiation Report contains a detailed discussion of Sky Power’s business segments, market opportunity and dynamics, industry competitors, macroeconomic data and indicators, financial results, and risks.

Analyst Patrick J. Murphy, CFA notes in the report: “SPOW is targeting opportunity in two markets with the potential for significant growth. The reality of a finite quantity of fossil fuels coupled with massive additions to the global vehicle fleet driven by the developing countries is leading to a search for economical fuel alternatives. Similarly, the demands made of the U.S. power grid at peak load forces utilities to price electricity at rates that compensate them for power generation capacity that sits unused much of the time. As the demand for electricity continues to grow in the U.S., prices are likely to rise and utilities will be forced to build new generation unless alternative solutions are adopted, including by residential consumers who are discovering alternatives to buying power only from the incumbents. Increasingly, consumers are looking to distributed generation as an alternative / complement to traditional electricity purchase. Working in concert with these macroeconomic trends, SPOW is in the process of positioning the Company to provide the technologies that meet the corresponding consumer needs and demands.”

Sky Power has combined the latest in lithium ion battery technology and an advanced solar concentrating design to create a highly efficient solar power generation system. The system is planned to have a $5,000 release price, and is expected to reduce the homeowner’s electricity consumption by roughly 30% – 40%. During times of lower electricity use, electricity will be fed back to the grid, running the electrical meter backwards and reducing the user’s monthly electricity bill, while helping to support overall grid power generation.
