RF Micro Devices Inc., a global leading designer and manufacturer of high-performance radio frequency components and compound semiconductor technologies, today announced it will present a broad selection of industry-leading radio frequency (RF) components for the global mobile device market at the 2011 Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain, from February 14 to February 17, 2011.
RFMD’s portfolio consists of innovative RF component, including cell tower amplifier modules, cellular transmit modules, and front ends for Wi-Fi, WiMAX and GPS applications, among others. It is also expanding its portfolio to include wireless infrastructure products.
For the MWC, the company will highlight RF components that span its broad portfolio of power amplifier-based and switch-based products. RFMD will feature its recently launched PowerSmart™ power platforms that are based on the company’s proprietary RF Configurable Power Core™.
The company will also showcase a new product family of single-mode 3G power amplifiers; a new 3G power platform for the rapidly evolving smartphone segment; and several switch-based products optimized designed to meet requirements of 4G LTE smartphones and tablets.
RFMD said it will also feature its 3G/4G wireless infrastructure product portfolio and its growing line of high-performance RF components for microwave point-to-point radios.
