Perma-Fix Environmental Services Inc. has three primary business segments: Industrial, Nuclear, and Engineering. Perma-Fix’s Treatment Storage and Disposal (TSD) Facilities are treatment plants for hazardous and non-hazardous industrial wastes, and/or mixed (radioactive and hazardous) wastes. Perma-Fix has ten of these locations. Their Government Services division has headquarters in the Perma-Fix of Orlando facility in Orlando, Florida. Revenue for the Nuclear Segment increased to $15.0 million versus $13.0 million for the same period last year. The company is working to further shareholder growth. They are focusing on nuclear services to help drive this growth. These nuclear services include radioactive and mixed-waste treatment services for hospitals, research labs, and research institutions. They also serve federal agencies, including the Department of Energy and the Department of Defense, and nuclear utilities. Perma-Fix sees this focus as a promising avenue whereby the company can turn waste into wads of cash flow for their investors.
