OTCPicks Featured Company: Max & Erma’s Restaurants, Inc. (MAXE) Renovates Restaurant

Max & Erma’s Restaurants, Inc. (NASD: MAXE) is involved in the ownership, operation, and franchising of restaurants mainly located throughout the United States. The company has owned and operated a staggering 79 restaurants and 24 franchised restaurants under their name as of October 28, 2007.

Their restaurant in Kenwood, Ohio, at 7800 Montgomery road, will be closing for an image renovation on the morning of Sunday, April 27. This will be a temporary closing and doors will reopen at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 9th. The new design will still showcase the eclectic items that the restaurant is famous for, but focus on decreasing the clutter.

Rob Lindeman, President of Max & Erma’s, said, “We’re going to enhance both the interior and the exterior of the restaurant. Our guests appreciate the new look, which stresses lighter colors and an open, spacious interior.”

“We’re escaping from the sea of sameness and differentiating Max & Erma’s in the casual dining market,” added Lindeman. “Our new look reflects our heritage and separates us from the competition. We’re still the Max & Erma’s everyone loves — great food and service. We’ve simply created a new environment in which to enjoy our food.”

Renovation for all Max & Erma’s owned and franchised restaurants will occur over the next several years, giving each a bright, spacious new look. Elements will include slate floors, hand-blown glass fixtures to replace metal ones, new table tops, and a new open floor plan. Building exteriors will be painted cream with black accents. The company’s stock rose 29.45% on Monday.
