Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. (ODFL) Purchases Assets of Bob’s Pickup & Delivery

Old Dominion Freight Line (ODFL) purchased selected assets of Bob’s Pickup & Delivery, headquartered in Sidney, Montana. Bob’s Pickup & Delivery produces approximately $10M in sales annually through its network of thirteen service centers in Montana’s towns of Billings, Bozeman, Butte, Glendive, Great Falls, Havre, Helena, Kalispell, Lewistown, Miles City, Missoula, and Sidney, and Bismarck, North Dakota. As of Feb. 15, Old Dominion added to its current route structure the twelve Bob’s terminal operations in the state of Montana and combined the Bismarck, North Dakota facility. Through this acquisition, Old Dominion now provides direct coverage to 48 states with 100% full state coverage to 39 states.

Bob’ Pickup & Delivery was operated by Randy, Raymond and their father, Robert (Bob) Bell. The Bell family stated, “Since 1980, our family has been involved in regional LTL Transportation and we were committed to providing customers with the most reliable overnight and second day transportation service in Montana and North Dakota. This decision was not an easy one for us to make, but believe this transaction with Old Dominion Freight Line presents tremendous opportunity for our customers and employees.”

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is a national LTL carrier providing domestic inter-regional and regional less-than-truckload shipping of general commodities, consumer goods and capital goods. The company provides direct service to 48 states and the District of Columbia in the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Central States, Gulf states and Western regions of the country. Through its global division, Old Dominion offers LCL, FCL and Assembly & Distributions services to and from all of North America, Central America, South America and the Far East.
