Navarre Corp. (NAVR) Seeks to Capitalize the Home Entertainment Market

Navarre Corp (NAVR:NASDAQ) is a publisher and distributor of physical and digital home entertainment and multimedia products in the U.S. and Canada. The company’s customers come from a wide spectrum of retailers, including mass merchandisers, third party distributors, wholesale clubs, computer speciality stores, music specialty stores, book stores, and office and electronic superstores nationwide.

Navarre operates in two segments: distribution and publishing. The distribution part of the company distributes various finished goods including PC software, CD audio, DVD video, video games and accessories. These finished products are provided by PC software and video game publishers and developers, independent music labels, and independent movie studios.

The second segment that Navarre operates in is publishing. This part of the company owns, licenses and publishes animation content, DVD and video products, as well as educational and interactive gaming PC products. These products are then distributed to all Navarre’s retailing partners.
