Majesco Entertainment Co. Majesco Entertainment Co. recently announced that the latest installment of Cooking Mama World Kitchen for Wii, which includes an all new 3D graphic presentation along with new recipes and comedic mini-game surprises, has sold more than 2 million units to date. With Wii hardware in short supply and demand rising, Majesco Entertainment Co. believes there is enough of a DS supply to maintain momentum through the holidays.
During the most recent conference call, the company reported second quarter revenues of $12.78 million, down roughly 12 percent from last year but beating consensus by more than 19 percent. Second quarter earnings per share totaled -$0.01, posting a considerable gain of 83 percent from last year and matching consensus. Over its 20-year history, Majesco Entertainment Co. has developed strong retail and distribution network relationships with major U.S. retail chains, including Wal-Mart, GameStop, Circuit City, Best Buy, Target and Toys ‘‘R” Us.
