Lincoln Educational Services Corp. (LINC) Honors U.S. Veterans through American Hero Scholarship Program

Lincoln Educational Services, a national leader in specialized technical training and supporter of students turning their passions into professional success, announced a scholarship opportunity specifically for veterans, as well as other service members of America’s Armed Forces. The American Hero Scholarship, worth $1,000, will assist veterans, active duty service members, reservists, and National Guardsmen in beginning career-focused training programs that may lead to new career paths in many of America’s innovation leading industries.

“The first Lincoln school was established specifically to assist veterans coming home from World War II,” stated Lincoln’s CEO Shaun McAlmont. “We’ve never lost sight of that mission. Lincoln holds our country’s military in the highest esteem, and we’re offering the American Hero scholarship as another way of making sure our veterans—America’s Heroes—have all the resources they need to launch new careers that build on the technical skills the military helped them develop.”

The American Hero Scholarship will be made available to service members who begin training at Lincoln after January 1 of 2014. Across the nation Lincoln schools offer veterans the unique opportunity to transfer their brilliant military skills into assets that land job opportunities in industries such as Health Sciences, Automotive Technology, Business and Information Technology, Skilled Trades, Hospitality Services, and many more.

This scholarship, along with many other opportunities, is being made available in order to help students fund hands-on training for skills that meet the needs of employers. Lincoln will impressively award more than $10 million in scholarships this year to bright students who are both ready and willing to take their next step towards a new and promising career path.
