Hill International (HIL) recently announced the company has entered into an agreement with Talaat Moustafa Group Holding Co. (TMG), one of the leading residential and hotel developers in Egypt. The companies will form a new joint venture company that will provide project and construction management services exclusively on TMG projects throughout Egypt and elsewhere in the world.
The new joint venture will be owned 50% by Hill and 50% by TMG and will be headquartered in Cairo, Egypt. The company is expected to immediately begin managing the construction of several of TMG’s largest developments. These developments include the Mega Mall in Madinaty, the Four Seasons Hotel Luxor, the Four Seasons Hotel Madinaty, and a major expansion to the existing Four Seasons Resort in Sharm El Sheikh. Also included is a major housing development in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia consisting of 5,000 residences for an anticipated 22,500 inhabitants spread over an area of 3,000,000 square meters.
Last month, Hill announced it was selected by the Kalispel Tribal Economic Authority to provide program and construction management services for the approximate $180M initial phase of the ongoing expansion of the Northern Quest Resort and Casino in Spokane, Washington. The two-year contract has as estimated value to Hill of between $1.0 and $2.0M. The initial phase of the expansion project includes a multi-story parking garage, a 50,000 square-foot expansion to the existing casino, and a 10-story hotel tower providing up to 300 guest rooms. Construction of the initial phase is expected to be completed by December 2009.
