Fonix Speech, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Fonix Corporation (FNIX), announced today that Fonix’s voice recognition technology will be featured in Yatec, LLC’s third major video game, Say N Play. The Fonix software enables voice command interfaces across a variety of gaming platforms, including XBOX 360 and PlayStation 3, as well as many PC and Mac games.
Say N Play is scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of 2008, and is being co-developed by Yatec and Advance Games, LLC. Fonix will receive a software license and per-unit royalty fee. It is believed that the inclusion of Fonix speech technology will enhance the players’ experience of the game.
With Say N Play being marketed to an ever more popular sector of the video game market, Fonix will enjoy more notoriety as its speech technology should add significantly to the overall experience in playing Say N Play.
