Equity Media Holdings Corp. (EMDA) Subsidiary Announces Expansion to Roanoke

Retro Television Network (RTN), a wholly owned subsidiary of Equity Media Holdings Corporation (EMDA), announced that the company will partner with Albritton Communications to bring RTN programming to Roanoke, VA. This newly created network will formally launch the first week of April 2007 on a digital stream of WSET-TV, Albritton’s ABC affiliate that serves the Roanoke/Lynchburg area.

RTN is a leading television network that provides subscribers a customized feed of classic hit shows, in addition to providing local programming, news, and sports.

Randy Smith, President and General Manager of WSET-TV, commented “We are excited to be a part of this growing network. It is ironic that our future success will be generated from prime time hits of the past. We are proud to be able to take the hits of our generation and offer them to the next.”

“Viewers will love seeing Raymond Burr as a wheelchair-bound detective in the critically-acclaimed Ironside,” said Mark Dvornik, Executive Vice President of RTN. “In addition, viewers can escape to Hawaii each weeknight while watching Jack Lord in Hawaii 5-0 and Tom Selleck in Magnum P.I.”
