China TMK Battery Systems Inc. (DFEL) Reports Second Quarter of 2010 Financial Results

China TMK Battery Systems Inc. reported large year over year increases in sales and net income for the second quarter of 2010 ending 6/30/2010.

China TMK Battery Systems Inc. reported sales of $16.8 million in the second quarter of 2010, compared to $11.4 million in the corresponding quarter of 2010.

China TMK Battery Systems Inc. earned net income of $2.3 million, or $0.06 per diluted share, in the second quarter of 2010. The company earned $1.8 million, or $0.07 per diluted share, in the second quarter of 2009.

China TMK Battery Systems Inc. said that the lower earnings per diluted share in the second quarter of 2010 were caused by a large increase in the share count. The company successfully raised capital earlier in 2010 through a private placement of common stock.

The management of China TMK Battery Systems Inc. attributed the strong increase in financial results to higher demand for the company’s battery products as a result of investments in sales and marketing.

Henian Wu, the CEO of China TMK Battery Systems Inc., said, “We continued our strong growth in the second quarter, with increasing demand for consumer products which utilize environmentally friendly rechargeable batteries, and our push into new end markets.”
