American Reprographics Company (ARP) is a reprographics company that provides business-to-business document management services to the architectural, engineering and construction industry. Based in Walnut Creek, California, the company provides its services through a suite of self-owned reprographics technology products, a nationwide network of locally-branded reprographics service centers, and more than 4,000 facilities management programs at customers’ locations throughout the country. Service centers are connected digitally, thus allowing the company to provide service to more than 140,000 active customers nationally.
The company has recently acquired the assets of Hudson Blueprint Company, the largest provider of reproduction, document management and related services in New Jersey. Hudson Blueprint, a full-service reprographics company operating out of Irvington and Newark, serves general contractors, architectural and engineering firms, manufacturers, and marketing and advertising firms. The company also provides on-site reprographic equipment and services at their customers’ sites. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
This acquisition allows the company to create a strong presence in the northern part of the state. It will also allow the company to meet the demands of the New York City market, and will enhance the company’s existing presence in the southern part of New Jersey, near Philadelphia, and in Atlantic City. Hudson’s year-end revenues in 2007 were approximately $9M.
