Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies, Inc (AERT) to Open New State-of-the-Art Recycling Plant in the 4th quarter of 2008

Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ CM: AERT), which wants to be recognized for being a Green company, announced the commencement of construction for its new state-of-the-art plastic recycling plant in Watts, Oklahoma. The facility will transform an old hogging operation into a recycling plant. The new facility will be funded and developed with the support of the Cherokee Nation and the State of Oklahoma.

If all goes according to plan, the plant will employ almost as many people as the town’s population. The current population of the town is 316 and the projected amount of employees is 265. A groundbreaking ceremony will be held Friday, March 14, 2008. The plant is slated to open in the fourth quarter of 2008.

AERT, founded in 1989, has used recycled polyethylene plastic in the manufacturing of composite building materials. The company converts reclaimed plastic and wood fiber waste into window and door components as well as fence systems and outdoor decking. According to the company, they are an exclusive manufacturer for Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek(R) decking, which is sold in Lowe’s Home Improvement stores.
