In March 2014, the company reported that its patent application for its UMCS was approved, and an order for an additional UMCS was received from the initial client. By focusing on configuration rather than programming, ENGlobal’s UMCS offers clients an opportunity to reduce integration costs and improve subsea control integration reliability while minimizing down time. The company’s solution eliminates the need for supplier-specific Master Control Systems (MCS), which potentially results in increased savings and improved system functionality with no compromise on safety or effectiveness. With a working proof-of-concept already in place, the company has secured UMCS and MCS projects with globally recognized major oil and gas companies.
