Automotive Industry Analysts Forecast Concurrent Computer Corp. (CCUR) Will See 20% Increase in Market Exposure by 2012

Concurrent (Nasdaq: CCUR) provides high performance, real-time Linux software solutions for commercial and government markets. The company’s products are applicable to modeling and simulation, high speed data acquisition, visual imaging, on-demand television, and more.

The company today announced additional support for the FlexRay communications standard to its SIMulation Workbench product to deliver automotive engineers an environment which reduces test and integration time for new, advanced automotive designs.

“Concurrent has extensive experience providing solutions to automotive manufacturers including Ford Motor Company and General Motors. The addition of support for the FlexRay standard creates a new market potential for SIMulation Workbench,” Dan Mondor, Concurrent president and CEO stated in the press release.

The FlexyRay consortium is an advanced automotive network with partners such as BMW, Bosch, Daimler, Freescale, General Motors and Volkswagen, and is expected to grow its business partnerships within the next four years.

According to industry analyst Sandeep Kar of Frost &Sullivan’s Advance Automotive Technologies Practices, nearly 20 percent of all light vehicles manufactured for the North American automotive market will utilize FlexRay for their communication solutions by 2012.

“Concurrent’s anticipation of this market growth and their product offering provides a catalyst for the industry to quickly adopt this emerging technology,” Kar stated.
