AVT, Inc. (AVTC) Grants Territory Rights for Marley Coffee to Cupful

On May 8, AVT announced that the company has granted exclusive rights to Marley Coffee Micro Stores in the Las Vegas market to Cupful, Inc. Under the terms of the deal, Cupful will purchase 300 Marley Coffee systems, totaling approximately $2.5 million.

AVT is focused on developing and marketing custom automated retail systems, micro-stores, and self-service retail. The company handles aspects such as design, manufacturing, software engineering, leasing, media, and technology licensing. ATV also markets personal technology self-service, such as LCD iVend Stores, AR Walls, and other self-service kiosks and high-end vending machines. ATV claims that their automated retail solutions drive traffic, increases sales, improves security, and lower overhead.

AVT introduced the Marley Coffee stores at the recent NAMA Show, showcasing touch-screen interactive automated cafes that can deliver a freshly ground and brewed cup of gourmet Marley brand coffee, espresso, or cappuccino in less than a minute. Select micro stores will also offer Marley merchandise, such as accessories and cups, and ground/whole bean coffee. AVT claims that each Marley Coffee Micro Store generates about $1500 – $2000 a month in sales, providing a return on investment in less than one year.

Cupful CEO Tammy Starring said, “I saw the opportunity with the Marley coffee stores, and I was impressed for three reasons. The Marley name is branded. The machines ease of use, size and technology. And the ability to sell advertising. It’s a great business model with unlimited potential. I was also impressed with the character and integrity of the individuals at AVT. It is important to me to be involved with people of integrity both in life and in business.”

Shannon Illingworth, founder and chairman of AVT, said, “We are extremely gratified to be partnered with Tammy and Cupful, Inc. Virtually every automated retailing opportunity under the sun was on display at the NAMA show, and to have generated so much interest and closed so many deals while our competitors were literally all around us, really validated our technology, our products, and the quality of our personnel.”

“Marley Coffee is a strong brand that is gaining immense popularity,” added Illingworth. “Marley’s CEO recently announced that they have expanded distribution and will be in Kroger’s – the nation’s largest grocery chain, so people will be able to enjoy the great Marley flavor at home and when on the road, at work, at school, or in an airport through our automated Micro Stores. We believe that the once people try Marley Coffee, they will be a dedicated customer for life – which helps build business for our automated Micro Stores.”
